I have finished teaching summer school and had to take the weekend off to celebrate a good friends marriage. Now, starting this morning, I have more time! Wahoooooooo! I finished the readings for class this morning and am about to start and hopefully complete my IRB.....we will see how that goes. I have gotten a good amount of sources/research for my lit review and have seen some themes emerging, so that is slowly progressing. It's an exciting and worrisome process. I can't believe how fast time is flying!!!!!!!
Question: Doing a close read of our mentor projects and paying careful attention to the lit review....what do you mean by this? Is our mentor project any MA project that we like that we've read? If so, I liked Colleen's if I remember correctly. Call me a paper waist-er, but I did print a sample MA project last semester to guide me.

ReplyDeleteYes, in this case, you can select your own mentor text. If Colleen's speaks to you, then she will be your "distant teacher". Take this time to look over her literature review in particular and notice the structure, organization, word choice, citations, etc.
So glad to see that themes are emerging, that means you are right where you need to be. Also glad that you got to celebrate this weekend!
