Gaining Insight

I found the mini lesson on headings and subheadings to be really helpful! In my original draft of my literature review I did include headings to help identify themes that I was addressing in my paper. However, I did not include subheadings or address the connections that exist between the headings. I simply had not thought about articulating the relationships that existed or including any transitions between sections. What insight I gained tonight! This knew concept of really focusing on the relationships that exist between the headings and the topics really brings some clarity to the structure of my literature review. I am feeling much more confident about both the narrative feel that the lit review is suppose to convey and the actual flow of the literature review. The session of articulating to a partner your headings/subheadings and the connections really helped me flush out the reason why I was including these themes and how they related to my research question. I am feeling much more optimistic about my literature review and how to effectively tackle the genre in general!
