I might be ready to walk down the aisle with my question (I'm loving all of our marriage metaphors with the current civil rights momentum in CA). Here's one version:

What happens to a first grade student's writing when regularly given an individualized writer's workshop goal?
or
How do individualized writing goals, when clearly communicated to first grade students, impact student performance in writer's workshop?

I'm wondering with my future methodology if it will behoove me to focus on one student, a group of students, or on all 30 students.

I've sat with the questions all week, and I think I'm content. Now, back to the lit. review research...
