Ivy - Blog #3 - The detour

I looked at Jolynn's IBR and started to think of my own IBR. The field Research Methods & Procedures concerns me. I know this is the "main dish", where I need to have all of my components for the study: pre/post assessment, unit of study, data collections etc... I dived instantly into what I think is the most important thing for my study: the unit of study - collecting the mentor texts and forming lesson plans. I got ideas from many mentor texts units, yet feeling frustrated whenever it came to a book I never read, not sure if it is aged appropriate and fits in the plan. Here are a few notes/To do list that I want to have answers by next Monday.
- One Unit of Study? Or several lessons per month in each writing unit - then get result at the end of the semester?
- Get the books from Amazon asap
- How long will the unit be
- Pre/post assessments?
- Read, read, read and form final unit of study.

I know I am a little off track.
I am going back to looking for articles.
The super hot weather definitely didn't help. 97degrees F .... *~*

  1. Ivy, I want to thank you soooooo much for telling us about the 30/30 app. I can't tell you how it changed my life!!( not really just my day, it's my first day to use it). I feel organized and motivated to work and actually did something instead of complaining about how time flies(seriously though it does).

    Thanks a lot :)
