Wow, Go Awesome MA Project Teachers!

Hi,
As a teacher of many years I am honored to work with such awesome new teachers who have shared their amazing research topic ideas.  I look forward to watching the projects grow and possibly change.  I am excited to see how research will drive what action plans this cohort will be implementing within their school communities (students, parents, colleagues).   The enthusiasm and creativity I saw today in class inspires me to continue my own education to become a teacher leader with the colleagues at my school while pursuing new "best practices" to use with my own students.  Each and every MA project idea has a valid place in every school.  I would love to see what effects motion has on student engagement, how teachers burn out comes about, how mentor texts improve student writing/motivation, how environmental science motivates students to care about the world, how parent/teacher relationship in the class lead to student achievement, and so much more (all of them).
I am excited to pursue a desire to create strong, meaningful, and lasting home/school connections among teachers, students, families.  I hope to find if meaningful connections bridge gaps in motivation, skills, communication, and parent involvement.  I plan to look into how teacher collaboration based on research, "Parent Education Workshops" (school wide or individual grade level/class literacy events), and student improvement can have an effect on connections made with the entire school community.
People do eat elephant....raw, in stews, cooked as a steak, etc...one can feed a tribe for a long time....it  was once sold in cans in most butcher shops and market...
