I don't know what to tell you. I've been sitting in front of this open, empty document for the past 10 minutes, and the second I think about something to write about, my mind goes blank....
(five more minutes roll by)
Since this question started figuring itself out, I have been trying to find research. But every time I would search something on EBSCO and put in the "key words," I would come up with nothing. But I was determined. If SJSU couldn't find the articles I was looking for, surely Google Scholar might. Alas, all Google kept asked me was, "Did you mean...?" I don't know!! I thought I had tried all the available searches, key words, and phrases money could buy. What was I doing wrong?
Thankfully, there was speed dating (words I never thought I would hear come out of my mouth). Sheridan opened my eyes and helped me find promising themes, ways to keep students engaged during my study, and possible data collections. With her help, I was able to better see what I wanted out of my MA question. With newly tweaked key words and phrases in mind, I went back to EBSCO, and back to Google Scholar, and found the beginnings of an amazing lit review.
So much happiness! Except now I have to read/skim/annotate these 35 articles. And read some textbooks. I don't have the luxury of reading a few articles a day. I'm worried that having Friday afternoons and Saturdays won't be enough. I have so many other projects that need to be done too! How many more weeks left?
Exactly how I was/kinda still am feeling!! Searching for articles while writing the lit review for Grinell was painstaking and ultimately, I had to settle for the articles I did find and they hand nothing to do with my topic. Google scholar and EBSCO totally let me down with all my key words too. Still in the middle of that battle. I am happy Sheridan steered you in the right direction. I need to pick your brain for other possible key words. ;) Oh, and yeah, I hope you don’t need your books back tomorrow, because I did not get to read them… oopsies. But really, let me know if you need them and I’ll bring them tomorrow. Love your gifs btw.
