Blog 3 - Patty
I have found a few really good articles which I am attacking one at a time. It really helps me to focus on one article at a time, write up my cab and move on to the next. It has also been very helpful to talk classmates and get ideas for keywords to search. I have been keeping a list of key words as I search, just to make sure that I am not wasting time researching keywords that I have already researched. After I write up my cab for an article i go back and look at their references and research the names of articles that seem applicable to my topic. I am not as overwhelmed as I was two weeks ago but it does scare me that we only have less than four weeks left!!

Hi Patty!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of keeping a list of keywords to research. I've been doing so in my head, but actually writing them down would be helpful and time saving! Also, utilizing each other for keyword ideas seems great too. It really seems like an understanding of good keywords can make or break a research session. Thanks for the tips.
I agree with Katie. I'm struggling with organizing this plethora of information that I've accumulated and keeping a list of keywords is a really good idea. Sometimes I feel like I'm dabbling in too many tasks at once (still trying to figure out what part of the elephant to eat first). I need to get more systematic: read>>CAB>>read>>CAB>>read>>CAB...bite>>chew>>bite>>chew>>bite>>chew.You have some great pointers. Thanks, Patty!
