I feel like my interests for this project are pretty broad and it's hard to think of that "perfect" question- the one that will fully encompass where I want to go. There seems to already be a ton of research out there about the topics that interest me, but I want to find a unique vein that will help me to learn something new. It's not just about finding the perfect question either. It's also about finding a way to actually do research on my question. The thing is, I really want to enjoy this process. I want to research something that I am passionate about using methods that are really interesting to me. I hope that as long as I keep those two things in mind, the Question will follow. I have a lot more research to do, and I'm pretty excited for where this is going...
Katharine, your anxiety seems to be pretty pervasive. Honestly, the question writing process is nerve wracking. So I'm going to tell you this in order to make myself hear it as well. "Perfect is the enemy of good." Let's strive for good questions, not "perfect" ones.
ReplyDeleteHi Katharine,
ReplyDeleteI think you will find love along the way for your project! Once you dig in, and get into the designing the research part, I bet it gets fun. Just saying. :)
