Lindsey Mueller's Post #2

After a few weeks off, I am getting back into the swing of school again. I have looked back at my Mini Lit Review and all my saved sources, and am motivated again to continue the project! I already see things I want to develop further in my Lit Review, and feel ready to begin developing my project design to deliver to IRB. With my Lit Review, I feel a little confused on how to organize the limitless amount of research I could include. How much research should I have? There are so many concepts that I could relate to my project, how do I know which ones are necessary and which ones would be irrelevant in my paper? There are also multiple ways researchers define the aspects that make up one's professional identity, do I choose one view or do I have to cover multiple? Do I put these views in the theoretical framework or in my Lit Review? I guess having too much research is a good problem, but it definitely makes my brain spin in circles. I look forward to using workshop time and conferences to clear up things for me.

  1. Lindsey, I am also having a hard time deciding which research is necessary to my project and what is irrelevant. I am doing my project about experiential learning and there are so many things that fall into that category. I have been continuing to gather general research, while I still decide the exact direction that I want my project to go. That way I will still have research that is relevant and hopefully be learning about more specific directions I can aim for which will lead me to more relevant research?
