Now I know what to look for

Before the mini lesson this week, I was having a hard time reading for the lit review.  I knew we were suppose to find themes, but I was looking for themes across the entire article; this made me unsure of what kinds of articles do/do not work, and made the whole task seem extremely daunting.  Dissecting the paragraph of the literature review helped me use better skimming strategies and look for specific information during my first read through.  This helped me know what kinds of articles to look for, and where I should find the themes.  I had found several articles, which I thought wouldn’t work, but now that I know what to look for, I am going back and seeing that many of them are useful.  Overall, knowing more about the structure and specific content of the lit review has helped guide my reading and make the task less daunting.
