At this point in my process, I feel committed to and excited about my research topic, experiential learning in literacy instruction. However, right now, I feel like I am walking the line between finalizing my research question and digging deeper into the reading. I need to narrow down my question further, but am unsure if I will be able to find corresponding articles if the question is too specific. In regard to research, I am unsure how much I can stray from my question, but have the articles still be relevant. I am almost certain this aspect of the process will continue throughout, so I need to learn to juggle the two by continuously tweaking my question when necessary and finding articles that relate to the overall theme of my research.
It looks like you and I have the exact same issue--no shocker there. Every attempt I make to narrow my question usually ends in an opening or broadening--woops! I wish that I had words of advice to add to your post, but I'm feeling like I'm in the exact same place. When in doubt, follow the words of Dori and "just keeping swimming."
