I feel so much better about my MA project question.  Michelle sent me an article "Integrating Literacy and Inquiry for ELL's" and it really helped me construct a few "just enough question."  So far this is what I have:

1.)  What happens to the academic and social engagement of ELLs' writing when the teacher incorporates Inquiry-Based instruction in the classroom? 

2.) What happens to ELLs' writing performance when I incorporate Inquiry-Based Instruction in the classroom? 

3.) What happens to ELLs' motivation and attitudes toward learning when the teacher incorporates Inquiry-Based Instruction in the classroom?

Although I have not yet committed to any of these questions, I am leaning more toward question #1 because it covers not only the academic aspect of writing but also the social engagement aspect of reading. For now, I am okay dating this question.  Maybe I will change her a little bit once I come across more research articles?
